new things in my life
i finally purchased a new computer. i had waited patiently for the right time and it came around without fail. while waiting i had done a lot of thinking and flip flopping over what i wanted, what i needed, and what would be a good compromise between the two extremes.
i wound up settling on a dell inspiron e1505. i maxed i out though as far as dell customization would let me. 2 gigs of 667mhz ram, an 80 gig 7200 rpm sata drive, intel dual core processor with a 2mb cache, and so on. i also opted for the 8x dvd+-r/dl burner and the bluetooth chip. the bluetooth is to allow me to expand later in the future if i so desire.
a lot of things seem to be changing in my life right now and i’m not really sure i like it all. i can’t put a finger on exactly what is going on but i seem to be distant from a lot of the people i used to be close to. it may all be perception and it may be real. i can’t really figure it out. the problem with our perceptions is that they are real to us. meaning that even if it is only in my head that my toe just got cut off, it is real to me and i will feel all pain associated with such a perception.
i don’t really have much to say today. i’ll be making a trip out to houston here in a couple of weeks and i am looking forward to that. i’ll get to see my two beautiful nieces and spend some time with their parents. :)
