i like the idea of doing a blog so that people can check up on me whenever they feel like it.  a blog can provide some insight into feelings that aren’t being expressed clearly and they allow me to talk about things that are important in my life.  i created a website that was supposed to serve this purpose in conjunction with allowing me to post pictures of current events.  unfortunately, at the time of creation for krugbug.com, my scripting skills were limited mostly to html.  this makes updating a pain because i had to hardcode any changes i made.  i am in the process of learning some things that will let me turn that into what i want.  but for now, i’ll use this site.

i think the biggest new thing is another year of school which really isn’t new.  i started my fifth year this semester which is kind of depressing really.  i think i am actually on track though with things that i enjoy.  i am only taking 3 classes this semester because that’s all i could feasibly take (anything else i took wouldn’t have counted towards my major) and i am really enjoying all three classes.  one of them is actually an intro programming class that introduces its students to C++.  i am learning to use visual studio to creat some simple programs.  the class is really designed to lay the foundation for the process of programming so i don’t imagine we’ll be building any crazy programs but it will give me a fuondation for learning.
